Browser Ferraris, take 2

This month we really will be covering the challenges facing language-learning apps and CSS performance. We'll have a show-and-tell session, drinks and a good time.

We're back on track with the venue and everything's sorted for it to be a great evening.

As always, Haybrook IT are our sponsors, so you have them to thank for the venue and any mild hangovers on Thursday morning. They also happen to be really nice people, so you should totally say hi!

The January(ish) One

We’re going to kick off 2016 big-style on February 17th at the Story Museum. There will be talks, drinks, people, and tonnes of fun.

This month we’ve got Mike talking about offline web technologies, which is going to be pretty cool. And we’ve also got a community/collaborative/helpful/ supportive/lovely/nice/great show and tell session where we can share what we’ve been working on (or, what someone else has been working on, and you think is great).

Winter Drinkup

December is a busy month for everyone, so instead of talks, join us at St Aldates Tavern for drinking and/or festive, nerdy conversation.

We've heard rumours of Espruino powered LED christmas jumpers, the 24 PRs of Christmas and an unhealthy amount of Emoji.

Find us in the main pub area, taking up as much space as possible!

Javascript Story Time

SUPER IMPORTANT: WE'RE AT THE STORY MUSEUM THIS MONTH

Here's some reasons why November is totally brilliant:

  1. We'll be moving to Story Museum; which is lovely, cosy, nice & awesome. We don't have parking anymore, though it's easy to get in from the Redbridge Park and Ride; and it's a lot closer to the train station.

  2. It's our 3rd birthday (that's 21 years old in javascript years). We'll have a bit of time to talk about where we've been, and where we're going with JSOxford (hint: brilliant places)

  3. We've got some great speakers (story-tellers) this month; Monica, Max and Peter.

JS EVERYWHERE

For a long time Javascript didn't exist, then for a relatively short time it was only in browsers, but now it's, like, everywhere.

We're going to talk about some of the places that javascript is, that aren't a browser.
